'Where are the origins of Euro-centric desire for knowing located and how do these desires/cultural agendas propagate themselves? What are the implications for embracing the unknown and mystery in the face of an unraveling rationalism...
This will be oriented within new formations of Contemporary Native American museums and archives, looking at the ways European knowledge systems, memory, and display are being implemented out of dire necessity. The "museum" inside cultural formations that privilege disintegration over preservation -- or transformation over the static -- in order to 'preserve' a nearly extinct people.'
