Biography

Milan — I was born in Germany and Greece. A rotating-media autist and writer, I produce autifiction and autitheory: rehearsals in an ongoing attempt to figure out how I can finally become autistic. My neuroqueer practice seeks counter-pathology and disidentification, often playing rock, paper, scissors with the guards at the Empire of Normalcy.

Dahlia Dahlia Dahlia: A Rehearsal on how to become autistic Or: The Semiotics of D{evil}op{mental} Dis{ability}

My love, Due to foreseeable reasons (and perhaps the inherent impossibility of it all), the performance Dahlia Dahlia Dahlia has been suspended indefinitely! Why? Because I'm scared. Because if we crystallize now, the becoming might end. But don't despair! At the same time, and (suspiciously) under the same title, a rehearsal will take place. For me, it is not about being autistic, but doing autism: an ongoing attempt to become. Here, we explore the semiotics of d{evil}opmental dis{ability}, challenge normalcy, and rehearse new ways of being. We flip the script, we burn the table (but gently). utterly entangled, yapping and napping, xoxo, Milan
