artist statement
Radical imagining is the process of making the invisible, visible.
1. Can't tell if I'm grieving or laughing 2. Ancestral Joy

If we remove the hierarchy of what is considered an animate or inanimate subject it messes deeply with the binaric way of thinking about inside/outside, healthy/unhealthy, wrong/right. Everything is an agent, everything is vital. It opens the ability to affect and be affected without a binaric attachment of who or what creates a greater impact. In my practice that gives the affective potential of a rock as much currency as the body and vice-versa. Each work is a gesture towards my queer utopia.
