Res Materia consists of machines that transform personal garments. It proposes a much more direct and personalized form of production than the fashion industry standards. The project searches for an alternative on preserving the identity of the wearer in highly branded times. The process is like a ritual of destruction and creation, directly involving the wearer. Garments become agents for change, instead representing the new.
