Studio for Immediate Spaces
Mathilde Stubmark
Mathilde Stubmark (1991, Denmark) works as a multidisciplinary architect, who explores the universe of architecture, art, fashion and other disciplines in order to create spaces.
The project investigates how humans sense of smell relates to space. In contrary to commonly used methods of designing architectural entities, scent is the main protagonist in the process of space making.
Secure, Peaceful & Wild is a research on how scents can be incorporated into materials recognized from the world of architecture, such as plaster, concrete, ceramics or textiles.
The manipulated materials are spatially examined to understand the possible affect on the human body and mind.
