From her background as a nurse, Lucie Sahner (Völklingen, Germany, 1986) is fascinated by processes of transformation and changes in the human body as seen from a non-human-centric worldview. In Colleen waits for the bus, Sahner merges reality with her personal fiction, creating an installation in which domestic objects and human fragments (or relics) are combined with videos. Sahner plays with an expansion and detachment from body boundaries, employing natural materials with corporeal connotations such as gelatine, wax, cream, and latex.
