Luis Lecea Romera+
"Unwinding and re-spinning an electromagnetic tape encoded with theorist Mark Fisher’s discourses on “the weird” and “the eerie,”1 Romera’s work asks his audience to step into otherness: to lose and to find themselves again, in the vast, un-silent, vibrating stillness of energies seated just out of earshot. Employing tactics of acoustic archeology, performance, and site-specific installation, Romera inverts physical and sonic horizons. Bodies—architectural as much as human or animal—are probed for their vibratory potential, and vice versa."
