The Catalyst of Social Dreaming
The project will merge the research subject I have conducted during studies and the local context of the Courthouse building. The relation between jurisdiction system based on the confession and its relation to the body politics. The source of philosophical inspirations is the fourth volume of the “History of sexuality” of Michel Foucault under the name of “Confessions of the Flesh”, which posits that the origins of totalitarian self-surveillance began with the Christian practice of confession. The work will connect legal procedures with the confession as a tool of control and surveillance connected to the marriage and monogamy as a desired state of being in the western culture. The question of the new moralities changing during the digital era on social media and dating apps, the fourth wave of feminism and body-positive movements. The site-specific spatial installation will use as a medium both crafts, namely hand-blown glass, and new technology, as my interests and practice are related to both.
