"but a body is every nowhere dependent" is an audio installation extending out of the existing infrastructure within the building, taking the form of voice, sound and noise, almost like a hybrid, a gargoyle, a cyborg hitchhiking through the building’s guts. The piece talks with the courthouse visitors in different tongues and textures, introducing the voices of feminist writers as a speculative lens to enter the narratives hidden behind the walls of the building.
If buildings are bigger bodies, and bodies are shifting entities, life is a messy socio-spatial continuum. The veins and the guts of buildings pull and push natural elements in and out. This process is intricate, noisy and full of information from different sites.
