biography
Puck Kroon (1996) is fascinated by the interspace. Through intangible, serial research she focusses on the fictional, empty space within language, around objects and between volumes. By recording the transit, the vacuum, the nothingness and the movement of visitors, she uses the visible context as the starting point.
CONCEPT / DRAFT - Overblijfselen van een ruimte die ooit was / Remnants of a space that once was
As a draft will change over time, DRAFT | Remnants of a space that once was, is in constant motion. Even this text may be edited every now and then. The context of both exhibiting in a courtroom and as a graduation show are leading. How can art be judged? What is expected of a graduation work within a graduation exhibition? What tempting appearances lie in wait? DRAFT | Remnants of a space that once was can be seen as an almost invisible intervention. It questions the interspace that addresses the paradox of presence. What is (part of) the work? The boundaries of individual artistry and external influences are explored. You are about to enter a work of art. Mind you, this is temporary, as everything is based on temporality. Tomorrow, it will be different. Absently present at first glance; an attitude required to embody the possibility of change as continuity.
