“The most exciting thing I left our conversation with was a question: if puberty can be hormonally induced, if it can be taken out of its historically contingent “natural” place as a “normal” stage of bodily transition, if it can be expropriated and used at will as a means of re-entry into a state of morphology—or as a way of slipping into a mode of being in-between, as another way of existing in transition or oscillation between points, of not being fixed, of being a problem for the mechanics of categorization—then how might this be a way to handle, hump, awkwardize, and eroticize time as a mode of domination?”
