Heleen Mineur+
Heleen Mineur (1994) knits curious ways through non-harmony, self-constructed scores and bitter sweet spheres of information. Her work recurrently forms layered narratives that give a semi-fictional, poetic, occasionally satiric yet critical gaze on conditions in our current epoch. Mineur works mainly through performative scenes, text, visual design and objects often merging into video and installation
A parallel Now; atmosphere, objects and information will provide elements of a tale that is not fully explained, asking the viewer to knit together. Non-linear scenes (video) will be played in a loop, with differences each time, providing a subjective sneak peek to this scenario.
The robot insect is based on an ancient centipede, but has lights, antenna’s, possibly claws and eyes. The centipede portrays an element of 'time', where technology has found its ways through animal evolution.
