Once in their respective seats the viewers can access the site via their phones, and engage with five light-hearted experiments that are only accessible—or can only be used to their full potential—when others are using the site simultaneously, giving the potential for connection a temporal urgency. This work serves to contain processes of communication and to make them more limited and more evident. In being offered a modest set of options, I could both grasp and hold onto the proximity of either another body in a chair or the presence of another user on the site with greater coherence than usual, and with more awareness of my complicity in any relation struck up between us.
