Bizarre Love Triangles

In this installation you may find yourself falling through a hole; caught in a loop between what you are, and how you appear. In a mostly vacant room, things may initially seem vague, distorted, or out of reach. A reflection augmenting the visual and virtual coherence of a space, as well as the transference and deconstruction of scale. Each video feed, though distinct, overlaps through the inclusion of the spectator, framed looming over the display. A strange alteration that warps and separates one from the room and corridor, yet also reveals things in them. Does the ambiguity of ideas and perceptions hollow all meaning out of them? Does it suggest a different mode of thinking about meaning? Is everything around you also stuck in a loop between being and appearance? Insisting on an increasingly comprehensive narcissism, the installation ties the audience to their surroundings and environment, if only ephemerally, before an inescapable departure and haunting.
