Ágapé is a performance by Seré (Dirty Art Department 2026–2028) that will be showcased in Utrecht during U? — the participative free to attend programme of Le Guess Who? — as part of the day program Tender Monsters and Filthy Queers — curated by Jõ Amorim Páscoa Borher (Critical Studies, 2026–2028).
In this new work, Seré explores what it is to be an eater: man-eater, pussy-eater, earth-eater, world-eater, or even the ouroboros: the snake that bites its own tail. The creation of this new piece happens within the context of Jô’s curation which explores the relationship between queerness, the monster archetype, and thresholds of acceptability.
