Metropolis M reviews Fine Arts Graduation 2026 Sandberg

Writing for Metropolis M, Fieke Lamers reviews the Fine Arts Graduation Exhibition in the article "A Sonic Landscape". She writes:

"Works characterised by subtlety particularly stand out in this Fine Arts cohort. They manage to incorporate personal narratives without creating a sense of distance. These subtle pieces command attention by requiring the viewer to both listen and feel; therein lies the strength of this edition. Sounds—such as tapping, a voice, or singing—often draw the viewer into the story being told, showcasing the multidisciplinary nature of Sandberg. Surprisingly, this does not result in a cacophony within the industrial warehouse. The wave of sound is measured, instantly transforming the rigid space into a sonic landscape. After all, Sandberg is about polyphony, not monotony." (Translated from Dutch).
