http://www.ludwigengel.netLudwig Engel is a futurologist and urbanist. He studied economy, communication sciences and cultural history in Berlin, Frankfurt/Oder and Shanghai. His interdisciplinary creative practice focuses on speculative and experimental approaches dealing with artificial intelligence, societal transformations, the future city and urban utopias. After various teaching assignments in the fields of strategic foresight, futurology, urban planning and urban futures, he taught Strategic Foresight and Futurology at University of Fine Arts Berlin and the Architecture Design Innovation Program at Technical University Berlin for several years. Currently he lectures at the Chair of Architecture and Design (Prof. Brandlhuber) at ETH Zürich. He is the author and editor of numerous books and the curator of various exhibitions in the expanded field of architecture and urbanism. He co-founded the research group Interdisciplinary Forum Neurourbanism and is the architectural curator at Haus am Waldsee Berlin.
