Varvara Kuzmina

Working across moving image, photography, sound, performative and participatory formats Varvara addresses the theme of contact. Her projects explore the possibility of connection, belonging, power dynamics, boundaries and distance. Kuzmina engages viewers through layers of time, space, and rhythm, acting as a medium between the experiences of the characters and the audience.

Varvara's current interest is in the way large political systems become something deeply embodied and leave traces on the personal and social level.
