In ‘Rehearsal’ (performance, approx. 40 mins.), Lianne Y. Smit guides two untrained performers through repetitive scenarios using impromptu directions. The performers receive no information beforehand, leaving them to navigate the space in real-time. Moving between reality and imagination, the work dissects the uncertainty and power in language that come with loss.
