Atlas proposes to indicate a point outside the usual frame of vision and in full view of everyone. It directs the gaze upward, suggesting that by tilting the head, we can also shift our understanding of the surrounding world. We are the gesture. A vertical movement is activated, blurring the space around us— a sky-to-earth axis that holds the blue point suspended in the air, a vanishing point that pierces the ceiling and extends beyond, into the celestial dome.

The piece is not intended to be observed by any particular person or from any specific viewpoint, thus deflecting the centrality of vision and questioning the way we perceive space and the objects within it. The blue dot invites us to step out of the image, outside of the grip imposed by perspective. Once we stop looking at it, it will cease to exist, detaching and falling into silence.
